With author Bhavya Arora, iGlobal marks the official launch of its Book Lovers Café in partnership with Author in Me – an award-winning UK-based publisher which spotlights the transformative power of stories to shape perspectives.
In this interview, Arora shares insights from her empowering self-help book…

Q Was there a particular moment or experience that sparked the idea for this book?
I never set out to write a book – never say never! After my father passed away in 2023, I reconnected with my purpose — to empower people to become their own support system and lift others along the way.
I saw so many people struggling, some unaware they needed help, others too ashamed to ask, or simply lost on where to begin. All feeling stuck, tired, and hopeless. That's when I knew I had to do something. I opened my laptop, stared at a blank screen for a month, and finally thought... ‘Well, here I go…’ No plan, just a desire to help — one word at a time.
Q The title is intriguing; How did you come up with it, and what significance does it hold for you?
Back in 2014, I found myself sitting in a Starbucks, sipping my usual Soy Chai Tea Latte, feeling stuck, fed up, and completely frustrated. I remember staring into my cup, the noise of the world around me fading away, as one question echoed in my mind: Where the F***k Do I Go From Here?
At that moment, I felt like I had hit a dead end — out of options, out of answers, and unsure of what was next. What I didn't know then was that this one question would become the spark of my transformation, my turning point.
This question shook me to my core. It brought tears, breakthroughs, and everything in between. It forced me to dig deep, face my fears, and rebuild my life — one small step at a time. That’s why the title means so much to me, because sometimes the questions that break us open, are the ones that guideus back to ourselves.
Q Is there a chapter in the book that you relate to the most? Why?
My favourite chapter in the book is Set Boundaries. It’s a game-changer because clear boundaries are key to protecting your well-being and creating balance. Starting with this chapter lays the foundation for your transformative journey — helping you manage your energy, relationships, and commitments more effectively. By releasing what’s weighing you down, you create space for what truly matters — your growth, your peace, and your next chapter.
Q What does your writing process look like? Do you have any rituals or habits that help you get into the flow?
My writing process is a blend of authenticity, intuition and curiosity. I don’t follow a rigid structure or plan anything in advance, I simply go with the flow and see what comes up for me. My writing starts with setting an intention which is always to inspire and empower by sharing a personal story, my learnings and how I overcame my own challenges.
Here are a few habits that help me get into the flow:
· Tea Rituals – My Soy Chai Latte and jasmine flower tea are fuel for my thoughts.
· Movement Breaks – Running, walking, and Pilates help shake up stuck energy and re-energise me.
· Socialising – Meeting friends keeps my mind fresh and inspired.
· Cooking – A creative release (though my family might disagree!).
· Candle Making – Creating something that brings zen into my life, bergamot and rosemary are my favourites.
But the biggest part of my process? Trusting it and not aiming for perfection. There were days when the words flowed effortlessly for hours, and others when I just stared at a blank screen. The key was simply showing up, letting the words come naturally without forcing anything, and reminding myself that my writing had to be authentic, relatable, and come straight from the heart. That’s the kind of a self-help book I would resonate with.
Q What’s the most unexpected or surprising thing you learned while researching or writing this book?
My personal journey while writing this book has been both challenging and enlightening — pushing me towards personal growth and a renewed sense of purpose. What no one ever told me about writing a book like this was how it would bring my hidden demons to life, surfacing stuck emotions and unpleasant memories I thought I'd moved past.
It tested my own insecurities, forcing me to confront them head-on — deepening my understanding of myself and the work I do. The actual writing took me 4 months — from October 2023 to February 2024. Some days, I wrote for 16 hours straight, drafting and redrafting — pouring my heart into every word. What started as a way to help others ended up transforming me in ways I never expected.
Q Do you have a favourite writing spot or time of day when you feel most creative?
Yes, I do! I prefer starting to write around 4am, when everything is quiet, and the world hasn’t yet woken up. It’s that perfect, peaceful time when ideas flow freely. I just keep writing until I feel I’m done – sometimes it’s just for a few hours, and other times, I find myself writing for 16 hours straight without realising it!
My favourite writing spot is my study room. It’s quiet and calming, with Buddha statue which I got from Thailand, shades of blue, crystals and lots of sunshine that helped me stay centred and focused. It’s the perfect environment to let my creativity flow - no pressure, no regrets and nothing to prove to anyone.
Q What challenges did you face in getting this book published, and how did you overcome them?
I didn’t face many challenges in getting this book published, mainly because I had authentic, purpose-driven, and soul-felt publishers. To add to this mix, they were incredibly organised (which I loved). We worked on strict timelines (with room for flexibility), and they offered constructive advice and guidance throughout the process.
It really felt like a collaborative effort, and overall, it was a fun and smooth journey. They understood me and me WHY in writing this book.
Q What has been the most rewarding response from readers so far?
The most rewarding feedback is that it’s an easy-to-understand and follow book, with action plans at the end of each chapter, offering a clear starting point for readers to begin making meaningful changes in their lives while how my book helped them realise they were not alone in their struggles, and that it's okay to ask for help. Many shared that the vulnerability and authenticity in the book made them feel supported and encouraged to take the first steps toward healing and growth. Also feedback from readers how my book has helped them feel visible, understood, and empowered, realising they have the power to choose how they want to live and feel.
Many have shared that it gave them the clarity they needed to break free from limiting mindsets and begin making positive, lasting changes. It’s been incredibly fulfilling to hear that readers have been motivated to live more authentically, align with their true purpose, gain clarity on their direction, and take actionable steps toward personal growth. Knowing that my book has had a real, positive impact on someone’s life is, without a doubt, the most rewarding part of this entire journey.
Q What do you hope readers take away from ‘Where The F**k Do I Go From Here?’
You have the power to change your life and create endless possibilities! By staying open, flexible, and ready to grow, you can break free from old habits that hold you back. Spiral up—even when things get tough. Build resilience, gain confidence, and practice perseverance. Don’t give up on yourself, your dreams, or your wellbeing. Choose what feels right for YOU — without regrets or worrying about right or wrong. It’s all part of the journey. Learn, grow, thrive — don’t just live, feel alive. Make your life matter... to YOU! That CHOICE is in your hands.
